On January 1st 2006 I started my membership in Aalborg Golf club. Since it's my first club I started in the local Rabbit club to eventually earn the required players license. The mandatory training was split into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theory ran over two nights and ended with a written exam, which I passed with zero mistakes. The practical training ran across six training lessons, covering the various golf strokes drive, pitch, chip, bunker play and putting. After this I was finally allowed to play on the clubs course, but only on Tuesdays for now.
When I had played in the Rabbit club for a few months I was approved the final players license, so I now can play on the entire course when ever I fell like.

It's amazing how challenging golf can be, even though you play on the same course most of the time. The big problem is not the variation in pin position, even though some position are preferable compared to others. The reel challenge is with yourself, basically you can split the game into four groups, which are tee off, long game, short game and putting. There always seems to be one or two things that isn't working, and it changes from day to day. I dread the day when all four parts works flawless, because then I face a huge challenge the next time playing. If you take a look at my recent Stableford scores, the variation is clear, you can follow my progress in the Stableford table elsewhere on this page.
